1. Who is responsible

The operator determines why and how personal data is processed for platform operation, marketplace functionality, safety, moderation and paid platform services.

2. Data we process

• Account data, such as email address, name, authentication identifier, account creation date and email verification status.
• Seller profile data, such as display name, company name, city, country, bio, phone number, website and social links where provided.
• Listing data, such as title, description, category, price, brand, model, year, location, images and listing attributes.
• Messages between users.
• Favorites and saved searches.
• Reports, moderation status and report details.
• Payment order and promotion data for paid platform services.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser/device information, cookies, logs and security events.

3. Why we process data

• To create and manage user accounts.
• To publish, edit, display and promote listings.
• To allow buyers and sellers to contact each other.
• To provide favorites and saved searches.
• To receive and review reports.
• To prevent spam, fraud, scams, abuse and security issues.
• To provide paid platform services such as featured listings.
• To send transactional e-mails about messages, listings, reports and orders.
• To comply with legal, tax, security and platform administration obligations.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the feature, processing may be necessary to provide the platform service, to comply with legal obligations, for legitimate interests such as platform security and fraud prevention, or based on consent where required.

5. Service providers

The platform uses technical service providers for hosting, database, authentication, file storage, e-mail delivery and related infrastructure. Payment providers may be used when automatic checkout is enabled.

Before public launch, this section should list the actual providers used in production, such as hosting provider, database provider, authentication provider, storage provider, e-mail provider, analytics provider and payment provider.

6. Public listing data

Listings, listing images, seller display information and seller location information may be publicly visible. Do not include private information in listing text or images that you do not want to make public.

7. Messages

Messages are used to enable communication between buyers and sellers. The platform may process message metadata and message content to provide the messaging service, maintain unread counters, send notifications, investigate reports, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

8. Reports and moderation

When you report a listing or user, the platform processes the report reason, details, reporter account, reported listing and related moderation information. This is used to review platform safety and enforce rules.

9. Retention

Personal data is kept only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, dispute, fraud prevention, moderation or security reasons.

Before public launch, exact retention periods should be defined for accounts, listings, messages, reports, payment orders, invoices and logs.

10. User rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of their personal data, and to request portability of certain data. Requests can be sent to support@raceventory.com.

The platform may need to keep some information where required for legal, tax, dispute, fraud prevention, safety or security reasons.

11. Security

The platform uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect account, listing and platform data.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should use strong passwords, keep account access secure and report suspicious activity.
